Angel Kisses on Easter Morning

On Easter Morning 2000, I woke up in Tears. I was in School, (Living in a Dorm), & So
Extremely Miserable and Frustrated with Everything from the Slum Dorm to my Troubled Career to Racial Discrimination to Painfully Missing my Family.
I looked on my Balcony and saw the Same 2 Pigeons that were on my Balcony a couple of Days ago. The 1st day I sawthem, I had just gotton an Academic Probation Letter, so seeing them defintely made my Spirit Smile. But it was now 3 days Later, so why were they still on my Balcony.
I Walked to the other portion of the room that would allow me to see the entire Balcony. And there I saw it. A Bird's Nest with the Mama Bird Sitting on the Nest. I was Belated & Shocked. Could this be real???
Then the Mother Bird flew away and there were the Two UnHatched Eggs in the Bird Nest. The 1st thing that crossed my mind when I saw those Eggs was.....IT's EASTER MORNING!!!!
WOW, I kept saying, Oh My God, I cannot Believe this. Oh my God Tears were in my Eyes, Joy was in my Heart, and I felt a sense of Peace & Serenity within my Spirit.
It was Astoinshing. How in the World did these Birds Manage to Put over 100 Sticks on my Balcony without my knowlegde?? I just couldn't believe it.
Needless to say I became Attached to those Birds. I could not wait until the Babies Hatched. I would Check on them Numerous, maybe 40 times a day. I couldn't wait to get to my Room so I could watch the Birds.
Before they came, I was Very close to an Emotional, Breakdown, so Jehovah sent them to me at the Precise time.
And it just so Happens that I discovered them on EASTER MORNING!!!

I named them the "Eyeball Family" (obviously my Creative juices were not flowing). With the help of my Mom & sister, we named the Mother "Iris", the father Lenny (Mr. Lens).
One baby "Retina" (Re-Tina), and the other baby "Pupil".
Those are All parts of the EYE!!
I Loved those Birds, & I still do Love them today. They really Brightened my Days & Spirit. I would talk to them, sure would.
I would watch the Mama bird feed them, the Papa Bird & a Cousin bring more Sticks for the Nest.
I would watch the Babies sleep & watch them Play with one another. They grew up fast, & within a few weeks they were almost as big as Iris.
What makes this story more Amazing, is that when I came home I learned that Scientifically Speaking, PIGEONS are the EXACT SAME BIRDS AS D*O*V*E*S
So Basically, I Awoke on Easter Morning to Find Heavenly, Symbols of PEACE, LOVE, SERENITY, And GOD's SPIRIT on my Balcony!
What a Precious, Pricelss
Gift that Was.
Now, Everytime I see a
Pigeon, my Spirit Smiles.
Thank You Jehovah for
Sending those
Flying Angels
down to Kiss my Spirit.
Note: I took pictures of the Birds, but in the process of me transporting pictures back and forth when I began to build this site, I lost an entire stack of pictures. So, hopefully I will find the pictures and post them.
